The inner-geek in me wouldn’t let me pass up this personality quiz…
So, some of you may have heard that gerogewbush.com is blocking access from ALL countries except for the USA and Canada. Personaly, I’m not sure what the point of doing so is, other than perhaps trying to hold off DoS attacks from other countries, but that’s asides from the point.
Anyways, according to F-Secure, who has a pretty distributed reader ship (of their blog), these are the countries that can and can’t access Bush’s site.
Asides from that, why would people want to visit Bush’s site when they can go to the site of a candidate who isn’t a complete moron and doesn’t surround himself with people like AssHatAshcroft.

Well, really, it was a battle between my new laptop and a glass of grape juice. The laptop fought hard, but just couldn’t prevail. Actualy, it went down pretty fast, about 1/2 second. Faster than a Tyson fight in his prime. So, if I’m slower than usual on updating, that’s why.
CompUSA (Local authorized Toshiba repair shop/warrenty place) is going to take 5 days before they even put it up on a bench. However, they were cool about the spill damage. Since I didn’t purchase the extended warrenty, they are going to send it to toshiba warrenty for me, minus any mention of spill damage. I don’t feel bad about not getting the extended warrenty though. Since there was no screen damage, the repair cost (IF toshiba won’t fix it under warrenty — ie: they see purple stains on the motherboard) would be about the same as the extended warrenty costs, and with the extended warrenty, it would still have taken 3 days to look at instead of 5. Definately not worth the $250-$350 they wanted for the extended warrenty.
Anyways, I will be ‘puterless at home for about a week. Sux to be me.
Got a coupon here for 10 free prints from digital pictures (4×6). Not that exciting, but if you have any digital pictures, and you ever shop at target anyways, you might want to just grab this coupon and save yourself the inkjet ink

So, I get an email this morning, and apparently, there was a party last night..a party of such greatness that I now have pictures to put up in the hall of shame.
To see Pancho Villa’s revenge, take a look at Kaufman’s pictures in the Hall of Shame, under Friends, in the Gallery.
My company sells a software package designed towards small business retail. We also make some e-commerce integration software that works with it so you can have a web site that syncs with your main retail software. Within that e-commerice integration software, there is a section for uploading pictures to a hosted e-commerce site. Now, common sense would dictate, that if you are having your web site hosted by someone else, but are in fact, hosting the web site from your own local computer, that you would not need to trasfer pictures to yourself. But, as so often is the case with tech support, common sense got shoved out the bottom of the cd-rom tray when the coffee cut was put in. No room for both ya know, and we all know how important that coffee is. Anyways, this gentlman was haveing some problems, ftping files from point a, to point a. (yes, he was trying to ftp them over themselves). He installed an FTP server on his local machine (the same one hosting his web site) and pointed the default directory to his retail software’s picture directory. He then tried to upload pictures from his retail software’s picture directory, to his ftp server….with the default location for his uploads being……..his retail software’s picture directory. He then proceeded to take screen shots of the resulting error message, in hopes that if we saw the problem with our software, we could resolve it for him.
Yes…good old tech support. The profession that keeps mice manufactures and pain killer companies in business.
I guess this means I have a real blog now, since I got my first comment spam. It’s not on the site anymore, and while annoying, I guess in a perverse way it’s a bit exciting. I’ve been noticed…
Well, here’s a few links for people looking for interesting/funny/whatever links.

This should be a pretty good starting point for those who are bored…
So, I moved over the past weekend. I really hate moving, but this time, it wasn’t so bad. While my packing still leaves a lot to be desired, this time around I managed to give myself enough time that I wasn’t feeling completely overloaded. Don’t get me wrong, it was still exhausting, but at least it wasn’t super stressful. I got a van from Enterprise which ended up being an awsome deal. The van was a full sized cargo van, which has a lot more space in it than you might think, and gets much better gas milage than a standard U-Haul, as well as being more manuverable. I got it for 2 days, Sat – Mon morning, for $102 base cost, which includes 300 miles of usage. If you look at U-Haul, for the same size truck, it’s $19.95 a day plus roughly 70 cents per mile. On Sunday, we took the van up to Yakima Washington, which is (per mapquest) 184 miles — each way. If you add up the cost of a U-Haul in milage (About 500 total, including my moving, and Yakima), it comes out to approx. $380. Enterprise ended up charing me next to nothing for the extra 200 miles. Including the extra insurance, it came out to about $140. I also only used one tank of gas for the entire trip. Granted, it’s a 35 gallon tank, but it still only cost me about $55 to completely refill it.
Anyways, we got ALL of my stuff moved on saturday, and all of Rae’s stuff on Sunday. It’s now Wed, and the place is starting to feel really homey. 90% of our stuff is put away, and the apartment is mostly decorated. We used a lot of Rae’s decorations, because I frankly don’t have much, but it really matched well with the stuff I did have. Her little tidbits of African decore and grey couches ended up working pretty well with my dark wood coffee table (even if it is a bit long) and my grey tv in the black entertainment system. The layout of the apartment is one of the best I’ve seen. Most apartments I’ve seen, make you work to synergistically place your tv and couches with an existing built in fireplace. You almost always have to make some sort of concession in furniture placement. Not here. The placement was excellent, and made for an easy choice in placing the tv and couches so that you could see the tv, and be near the fireplace at the same time, without blocking any doors or walkways with the tv.
We eneded up with 2 extra microwaves. The apartment came with a built in over-the-stove style microwave, I had one and Rae had one, so we now have 2 microwaves in our little storage area. The ceilings are all quite high, specialy for having a first floor apartment, and there are actualy MORE than enough electrical outlets. The community has 2 24 hour gyms I can use, and swimming pools too. Parking has not been an issue so far, unlike my last apt where I had to park across the property.
We are still settling in, but it already feels like home, and I’m really quite happy there.
So, I’m moving again. I’m going to be moving into an apartment community called LaSalle, with my girlfriend Rae. We got a 1,118 sq foot apartment. You can see the floorplan here. What’s nice about this layout is that it has bedrooms at opposite ends, so if wanted, we can each have our own space. It also has a real laundry room, not a laundry closet. For moving in this weekend, they gave us a ~ $1300 concession, which basicaly means we pay $20 untill december. When I move out to beaverton, I’ll also be saving roughly $80/mo on my car insurance. It’s a little more expensive than where I’m staying with Evan when you add all the costs up, but it’s also MUCH more space. I like the charecter the old house we are living in right now has, however, as I live there, the little things that come with old charecter are really starting to eat at me. For instance, you can’t have the microwave and the a/c on at the same time. I don’t have ANY grounded outlets in my room (the 3 prong ones). I have to run an extension cord from the other room to run anything that requires a grounded outlet. I’ve also found that if you use the oven and the stove functions at the same time, sometimes the stove flame will go out on it’s own leak gas. I’m sure you can guess how “NOT GOOD” that is. I’ve done it a few times, but only when the cooking times were so short that I didn’t mind watching it to make sure it didn’t go out. The bedrooms in this new place are way bigger, and I will be living a lot closer to my family so I can see them more often. I could actualy walk to my mothers place and have dinner with her, if I so desired. Rachel will also be able to walk to work, so I will no longer have to drive her. (In all fairness, I choose to drive her, I don’t -have- to drive her, I just don’t want her to sit on the bus for 2 hours each way just to go work in a call center). LaSalle has 2 24-hour gyms I will have available to use, as well as 2 pools, and it is within 5 miles of where I do most of my grocery shopping. I’m really exciting about have easy, free access to a gym again. I’ve been meaning to start going again, ’specialy since I quit smoking, again, a few months back.
Ends 10/13 at 12pm
Click here to sign up for 2 free Blazer tickets. I chose tickets for the 10/25 game against Golden State, if any of you who know me want to meet up that night.
Should be fun
Season 3 has started! This is by far one of the best machinema series ever published on the web. Season 3 has started today. If you haven’t seen any Red vs Blue before, it’s incredibly funny. Animated on the XBOX using Halo, with witty voiceover’s and in-your-face banter. Check it out at Red vs Blue.
Even my g/f has had a few chuckles from it, which means it passes the g/f test.. which means you are completely retarded if you don’t check it out
So, spoofee has a deal listing on a 1GB lexar jump drive (those little usb flash drives the size of your thumb) for $39.99 after rebate. Image all the porn you could carry on your keychain with that thing. That’s like a full length movie in DivX/XviD.
It’s about 1/4 the size of a dvd in terms of storage, so if you’re not the pr0n type, the average person could take an entire family photo album with them anywhere they went.

Along with the cooking theme this morning, this is an excellent blog. The way the recipies are layed out is fantastic.
Well, as a lot of you probably already know, I like to cook every now and then, and of course, along with that, I can appreciate an excellent set of knives. Amazon is having a sale on some very good ones…see the link below.
You can now subscribe to my blog and get email notification when I post a blog entry. Simply look at the bottom of the menu on the right hand side, enter your email address and click on the subscribe button.
So, the subscriptions to the site are still not working (yes, I know the button is there). I will attempt to get that resolved today.
So, I’ve switched blogging software from bBlog to WordPress, mainly because WordPress has more plugins and is supposedly more industry standard yada yada. Anyways, I will be tweaking the site for a couple days, I know the color scheme sucks for the moment, please bear with me
You can now register an account with the site if you want, and I will be adding a module that allows you to get email notifications when I post, if you want. I will try to get to that tonight.
