I know I haven’t posted in a little while, I apologise for that. Some had a good christmas/birthday and met an incredible woman. I’ll post more about those things when I get a little bit more free time, hopefully tommorow. What caused to pause a moment and post was.. I just woke up a few minutes ago, and went to the laundry room to get an ironing board so I could iron my shirts. I open the door…and hit someone. Yes, that’s right, someone was sleeping in my laundry room. I’ll leave you with that to ponder it just a moment.. it’s not that big of a deal, sometimes things in life, just strike you as….abnormal.
Well..as some of you may know, suprnova.org, a huge bittorrent site has gone down.. as well as a few other major bittorrent sites. Here is the unnoficial closer FAQ…
So, word on the street is that the new Harry Potter book will be coming out July 6th, 2005 — and of course they had to leak this one detail to make sure that it flies off the shelf faster than any other Harry Potter book….one of the major charecters die…
So, lately, I’ve been noticing some strange sleep behavior on my part. About two weeks ago, I woke up in the bathroom, sleeping with my head towards the door. I assumed I just passed out there after too much drinking, but now that I look back, I wonder. I was fully dressed for bed (pajama’s and a hoodie) and I swear I remember going to bed, but ya know, I woke up in the bathroom, so I must not have…(well..makes you wonder, anyways) . But what made me take a second look at it was this morning I woke up because I was cold…then I noticed I wasn’t wearing my hoodie, and I know I went to bed in it. After a little searching, I found it scrunched up underneath my pillows. That makes me believe that I somehow took it off in the middle of the night, although, I don’t recall waking up at any point to do such a task… but if I am doing things like this, and sleep walking, it’s kind of scary, because I’ve never done anything like that before… I wonder what may be causing all this…?
So, I went out with Evan last night..what a trip. I remember now, that I can only physicaly stand to go out and play with Evan once a week or less
We started after work at the local sports bar by work. A place called “The Scoreboard” which is a pretty standard neighborhood bar. We played some video golf, but not golden tee.. this one was something by EA, and I think I like it a little bit better than Golden Tee..at the very least, the graphics are better. We met up with Cam there, who had to leave after a single beer because Greg got in a car accident and totaled his car and needed a ride from out in Cornelius. He was ok, but we’re all pretty sure his car will be totaled by the insurance company.
We stayed for an hour or two or four after Cam left, and went over to 7-11 to get smokes and varius supplies. IE: candy gold coins. We then took the candy gold coins to Dino’s strip club, where, amzingly enough, the strippers thought it was funny instead of booting us out like I thought they would
. It was actualy a lot more fun than this is making it out to be. The gold coins really were a pretty big hit.
After a pitcher at Dino’s (which we closed down) we went to 7-11 to try and buy some beer even though it was 2:36. Amazingly enough, we were actualy successful. Evan bribed the clerk and he let us buy an 18pack after hours. If you have ever tried to buy beer after hours, you will understand how amazing that actualy was.
I only got 3 hours of sleep last night, but all in all, it was totaly worth it.
So, I went out Saturday night. I wasn’t originally planning to, but Julie wanted me to, and Danny also wanted to go out, so I decided why not. Danny came over and we met up with Julie at Beaches, which was more or less uneventful. We decided to go out to the old standby of the eazy-peazy (The Eastern Pearl). The parking lot was completely full, as was the street parking, so I parked down the street in another lot. Low and behold, those bastards toed my car..and every other car that was parked there, durring off business hours. Casey and Tiffany graciously came to our rescue, driving us (all 4 of us cramed into the back of the Subaru Outback) a few streets down to the impound lot where we were supposed to ‘wait for the driver they sent out’ —and wait and wait and wait and wait. 40 minutes later the guy decides to show up, from a location that was supposedly 3 miles away. Normaly, it would not have been such a big issue to wait the 40 minutes that we had to wait, but as you know, it’s been cold at night around here recently and we were stuck waiting outside from 2:15 to almost 3am without any heat and only jacket between the 4 of us. Anyways, the guy finaly shows up and I can get my car back..for the pautry sum of $258. Fucking bastards. I looked over the itemized fee table on the reciept. They charged me for the miles towed, the gas used, and for taking a picture of the car…($10 picture), as well as the impound fee, the gate fee, the dispatch fee and the tow itself. What a racket.
Well, at least the people I was with offered to chip in for the cost….not the greatest night, to be sure.
The big boss guy just got a RedBull fridge (from RedBull) stocked with….RedBull energy drinks…fucking sweet.
So, I had been bussing/maxing to work because my car wouldn’t start. Turnes out that my fuel pump was dead. I ordered a new one from Carmadillo for $139 shipped, which was an awsome price considereing that autozone wanted around $300 for it, and you know the local $tealer would have charged a lot more because they seem to charge MORE than MRSP all on all their parts. Plus they probably would have charged $80 for an hours worth of work. In reality, in an e36 BMW, replacing the fuel pump is as easy as changing the oil, if you don’t count the fear of working over an open tank of gasoline. BMW actualy did a very good job of designing the fuel tank/pump system. All you have to do is pull out the back seat cushion (clipped on) undo a few screws around an access panel, unscrew a retaining ring (We used a large wrench as a hammer and socket extension as a tool for knocking the retaining ring loose), disconnect the power wires and fuel hose, pull out, and replace.
Anyways, after that, we ran the fuel pump for about a minute with the car off the repressurize the system, and the car started up without ANY problems. I waited a bit, then went out to Forest Grove to meet up with Danny at his parents restraunt. Once I got there though, I could no longer get the car to start. We though it had to be my fuel filter, because I hadn’t changed it in two years and who knows how long the owner before that had it in there. We got a fuel filter, and then proceeded to discover that my 95 bmw did not infact use what was listed for a 95 bmw 325i, but instead for a 96 bmw 325i (which is funny, because there is NO 96 325i..that’s the year BMW switched to the 328). Well, we got the new fuel filter in, which was MUCH harder than the pump due to having to jack up the car in the parking lot, and access to the bolts holding it in. Once we got the new fuel filter in, I looked at the gas that came out of the old one….yuck..there was chunks of debris coming out with it..so, it was definately clogged and was causing problems.
The car started up great, and I drove it to Danny’s house to get it out of the parking lot. Once I had turned if off though, it failed to start again!. Anyways, after a lot of trouble shooting, we discovered that the fuel lines connected to the fuel filter where on tight enough to prevent gas from leaking, but not tight enough to keep air from slowly leaking into the fuel system once the car was turned off. Danny tightened it as much as he could, and tada…I have a working car again!
So, Rae found this site, that lets you make a puzzle out of any picture. So, she took one of my fav transformers and made this puzzle.
